I am having a website which has been built through cold fusion 4.5 Version with mostly static pages having .cfm, .html etc.
This website needs to be migrated on my environment which consists of Apache webserver on RHEL 2.1 and BEA Weblogic 8.1 on RHEL 2.1.
I am having Interwoven Teamsite and Opendeploy on Windows 2000 Server which pushes the data onto my Linux servers. All the website development is done on the Teamsite server and only the content is pushed onto my Linux boxes.
Now my question is, does the .cfm pages need any special plugins for apache server? I know I would not have to install CF on Linux servers since the development will be done on local machines. One important point is that all the applications and websites running on our Linux servers are java based.
So how feasible is it to have the Cold Fusion content working in sink with the jsp based content on weblogic servers and on apache server.
