Clock problem


hello,

I have problem with local clock!
It runs slower then hw clock!
see below

Code:
[root@rs eaccelerator-0.9.5.2]# date
Fri Sep 21 03:07:59 EEST 2007
[root@rs eaccelerator-0.9.5.2]# clock
Fri 21 Sep 2007 03:16:46 AM EEST  -0.096935 seconds
[root@rs eaccelerator-0.9.5.2]#
and this 9-10min are became for around 2-3months

any idea why is that?

No idea why it got that way but, you might want to hook up to a time server. Then, sync the hardware and system clocks.
For example:
Code:
su - -c "ntpdate ntp.nasa.gov ; hwclock --systohc"
then, check it...
date && clock

Note: if it's way off, you may get a blank screen for abit

is there a way to sync local clock with hardware one?
couse hardware clock runs ok.
