Cleanup after messed up mysql install

I was doing the "make" of mysql 4.0.20 and something went wrong and logged me out... the installation went bad. How can I clean up after this installation?

If i try to ./configure another vesion, it just throws me out saying mysql ended... i suppose it's because of that messed up mysql installation.

Just remove the directory that you extracted and extract the tarball again.

You could probably get away with:
make clean

But just remvoe it if you want to be sure.
