cisco router help

How would I make a console connection to a cisco router using Red Hat 7.3. We have about 15 pc's and there is one linux box. I haven't been able to fix this yet. If anyone knows what to do, please help.

that depends on the service the router uses to accept connections.
Code:
telnet <cisco> 23
or
ssh <user@cisco>
what kind of connection do you want to establish?

Console probably means a "serial" connection. If so, "minicom" is a console communications package very similar to Telix for DOS if you happen to be familiar with that.

I use minicom to connect to cisco consoles quite a bit. Don't forget to set minicom to the same serial settings as your cisco gear. If you haven't changed them they are 9600-8-N-1.
