cinelerra dont run under suse 10.3

hi everyone,
i just installed cinelerra from the packman repository with yast. Then, when starting cinelerra, the programm shows up the window and the tip of the day. I can close tip of the day but the whole other window - the programm window is not active and all buttons are not working. I can't even close it, except with "kill process" in system monitor.

Can someone help me please!

Any output on console when it stops responding? Try compiling it from the source. I had a debian package for it once, but it didn't quite work. Then I had it compiled from the source and works perfectly. Alternatively, check your hardware. Not that it should fail on first run, but I've heard cinelerra requires quite a machine.
