Chrome fonts suck in KDE Kubuntu 11.10

So I thought I'd try out Chrome since firefox always freezes up on me when I view flash pages.

Chrome is nice and fast but the fonts are tiny on most sites. Some sites look perfect, but about half of the websites I visit have small and hard to read fonts.

Should't it look the same as firefox did?

Any idea how to fix this?

-Thank you

That sounds like Chrome is using the highest resolution that your monitor is capable of showing.

I can think of two things to try:

1) when viewing a page which shows small fonts, press and hold the control key, then tap the plus key on the number pad to zoom in, control and minus key to zoom out. You will have to do that for every website that shows small fonts.

2) check Chrome documentation and search the web for info on writing a Chrome UserContent.css file to override the default Chorme .css file. This solution should work for all websites without the need to use the ctrl+ and ctrl- key presses.

Here is a howto to get you started on a custom .css file: http://www.buzzwordcompliant.net/201...eet-in-chrome/
