I have a duel Monitor set up, with monitor 1 my computer monitor, and monitor 2 out to my TV. I've recorded video or had a video file I play on my TV, by sliding it over to the TV monitor.
For 15 years, I've never had any problems in Windows or Linux. The last several months, I used Mint-Cinnamon.
I did a clean install of LM Xfce, and now I get choppy video. One thing, it's not really choppy, it just doesn't flow like it should. I watched it real close and can't describe what it looks like, just that it's not like it was (Barley Whatchable).
In the past, I could have a video playing and could use the computer with no problems. I just found that as I type this, I get the same thing on my computer as I type, while the video is playing.
I'm using a GA-A55M-DS2 MB, with on-board HD Video. I have the choice of "xserver-xorg-video-ati." "fglrx-updates" and "flirx" Drivers. I have it on the second one, "fgirx-updates."
I used to be able to have a video running on one screen and use the computer on the other with no problems. I notice if I have the video running, the whole computer does the same thing. Just typing this text now, I'm already at the next word before the words appear on the screen. The most likely problem is I got a virus or mailware.
