I must not have some font on my Slackware 10 install, because when I use aMSN messenger there is a problem. The Titles in the the preferences -> advanced tab are all blocky, as if my computer was reverting to 1980! That also shows up as the font for my Name in the main contact list window. I can't find any options to change this....it really is ugly.
i have the same problem as oudent with aMsn... I changed the font, I selected an MS TrueType font, but there is no font antialiasing. Anyone knows how to activate it?
From what I can tell, I did something wrong when installing Slack 10, because the font problem is not isolated to aMSN. It seemed worse, just because the fonts used were particularly bad, so changing the fonts to a more common font like arial helped. I've really cut back on using linux for the school year, just because of CUPS, so this is no longer a serious issue.
