changing the font-size of menus of GTK 2 apps running under KDE 3.1

Hi all,
I've been trying over the last couple of days to increase the size of the fonts used in the menu bar/system menu etc in GTK 2 apps (namely bluefish and gFTP) running in KDE 3.1 on a standard slackware 9.0 install.

now I'm a newbie to linux so forgive me if this should be in the newbie forum but after an exhaustive search of the net I can't find anything about changing the font size. I've found you can alter the themes that GTK uses by changing the .gtkrc-2.0 file but that only controls the widgets etc and not the fonts or their sizes. The problem must lie in KDE's use of GTK because the font size is bigger and better in Gnome.

At the moment in order to use the apps I have to use them in Gnome and I would much prefer that I could get GTK apps to work better in KDE. I have the bitstream vera fonts installed and in use throughout KDE and would ideally like to use these fonts (size 12pt) as the fonts for ALL GTK2 apps - does anyone have any suggestions as to what I need to do (and perhaps some sample .gtkrc files if I need them)

with thanks in advance,
Mlqds

sorted it - but I'll post the solution for anyone searching the boards

simply run 'gnome-font-properties' from the command line within X and change fonts to what you want.

yet again a totally simple solution but I couldn't find it anywhere cheers all
