Changing log in screen

I've just installed a new sarge on my system with KDE, but everytime i boot i get an ugly debian log in screen with no option else than logging in
Is there a way to change the screen to a more nicer one like the kde default? I looked around the options in kde but i didn't found what to change
There's no button to reboot or shutdown the comp either

If you go to control center then login manager you can change around the background and some other things and you can goto control center > splash screen to change that around.

You may be using gdm and noe kdm or xdm.
if it's gdm then you need to run gdmconfig as root.

If it's xfm I laugh at you.....

If you change your initial run level to 3 I'll be proud of you.

i doubt i'm running gdm cause i haven't installed gnome (it's related right?)

i don't have a clue about why you would laugh at me about xdm, can you be more specific?
Why wouls i change my initial run level?
