Change Grub "Table" Size

Yo. I'm looking for a way to change the "table" border in Grub. Ideally, I'd like to be able to do the following things:
  1. Remove the border
  2. Change the size of the "table"
  3. Add another horizontal line between entries in the "table"
  4. Muck about with the appearance of the entries in general, beyond just changing the text

I'm sure there's some kind of way to do this. Does anyone know how?

Are you sure you mean Grub?

Positive. I'm looking for a way to modify the appearance of GRUB, my boot manager. I want to change the screen where you select an operating system to boot.

Uh, it's a bootloader...

You can change the splash image, pretty much anything you want can be converted using convert (part of ImageMagick). It sounds like you are looking for a lot more than a bootloader should be providing. It's just booting an OS. If you want 'more' you may be thinking of something like gensplash:
http://dev.gentoo.org/~spock/projects/gensplash/

Otherwise, a direct answer to your question from me, would be no, other than tweaking the image and text a bit, I haven't seen much else done with Grub.

If you do find something that gives you the fine grained control you are looking for, please post back with some info.

Cool

Cool
I know it's just a bootloader, I just want to tweak it a little. There's that border around the outside, and I want to change it. I also want to add a horizontal ruler in between certain entries. That sort of thing. I'll dig around and report back.
