change default mount directory


hello community
i hope i have the correct section for my problem.

i want to change the directory where usb drives are mount from /media to /mnt.

somewhere i read i have to reconfigure hal, but there was nothing specific on it, so i have no plan how to do it.

hope somebody can help me
