CentOS 4.4 iscsi-initiator

HI,

Looked through the threads on the forum, but nothing springs out to cover my desire in getting an iscsi-initiator connection working to a target system - well not that my limited understanding of this technology can understand LOL - anyway...

Have a target system all set up and working (I thinks), am want to connect to the target using the built in centos 4.4 iscsi-initiator utils - which I have installed.

My concerns and issues -

1. Making sure the targets use the same name on the initiator machine each time - by all accounts need to do some udev configs.

2. Getting the initiator to connect to the target and show it as an available storage resource.

I know this is not a simple (answers on the back of a cigarette packet) and quick question to ask, so was really after knowing if anyone has done this in 4.4 using udev and got it working and staying put, plus is there any walk thru guides, with examples of doing this type of thing, as all the man and READMEs are pretty sparse in detail...

Anyway, any advice much appreciated and Happy New Year to one and all on the board.
