Cedega 4.2 and ATI support for 3D games?

i am a big gammer and i am liking the power of linux more and more, except the fact it does not directly support the games i play. i know this has nothing to do with linux and everythign to do with the game makers, but i was looking into Cedega 4.2 to play WoW (world of warcraft) but my gaming box runs an ATI 9500 128M vid card

everything i have seen indicates that linux and 3D power do not play nice with ATI cards over the 9000 card. my question is, is this correct. if i pay for the Cedega 4.2 will it even run with the ATI card and get a 3D game to work or will i be just tossing good money after bad?

thanks for the reply.

Look, I use these settings for My 9000 pro. 3d enabled. Do not mind that I snatched settings from SuSE 9.1. These setting work without installing commercial driver from ATI site. Just edit refresh and sync for your monitor and edit your mouse. Here
