cdrecord reading toc from a file

im running debian 2.4.24 in text mode only ( no X ) and ksh
i just added a dvd burner to it
the Pioneer dvr-106d
its a dual format 4X burner IDE

also i wrote a little shell script that makes files with lines of files that need
to be backed up to dvd as soon as i can figure it out. each line is one complete path to one file, like this

/home/david/blah/blah.mp3
/home/david/blah/blah_two.mp3
/home/david/blah/lalala.mp3
/root/mp3s/bubba_smith/an_album/a_song.mp3

i believe that cdrecord is capable of writing to dvds...
but i have no idea how to get it to read from my files
( the table of contents file from my shell script)
i know it is some how possible but cant figure it out

or does anyone know of any better commands that could use my list file?

also if you know of any easy commands that would simply make a traditional
audio cd from a list of mp3s to be played on a normal cd player?

i have been using debian linux for little more than two years but still have
a lot to learn. any suggestion is greatly appreciated. thank you
