I really don't want to watch those smilies for the whole ripping process
so I wanted to create some log, but can't figure out how. Why does the ">>" operator not work? When I try this:
cdparanoia -d /dev/cdrom 1-1: /mnt/skupna/test.wav >> /mnt/skupna/test.log
it still displays everything to the screen and creates just an empty log file. With -e switch I get a lot more info, but still just on the screen and nothing to the log file.
I have this version, which is also the last stable one:
cdparanoia III release 9.8 (March 23, 2001)
My final goal is to put appropriate command line options to grip and at the end I'd just check out the log. Or maybe I would even put a script to execute afer the whole disk was ripped to check if there are any bad smilies in the log file.
Is there any other nice gui for ripping & encoding? It has to tell at least at which tracks did errors occur (like CDex does), and preferably also what are the suspicious positions (like EAC does).
