Hi

I have read all the threads related to CD Writing. Most of them prefer K3b or nero Linux or xcdroast.

Iam using Redhat EL 4. Will anyone help me giving me a right link to a very good software for cd writing

Expecting reply

k3B is as good as i've seen on any OS.

http://www.k3b.org/

You can get the source code and compile it, won't matter what distro you have aslong as you satisfy it's dependencies

Just because it's not GUI-based doesn't mean it's no good.

Yes i get you

Sir,

I never say that cdrecord is not good. But iam a new user and not much used to Linux. ie why i would prefer a GUI based software. I search lots and not able to get a steady answer. Please reply.

Trying to download K3b i only get the debug tool and not the package. As iam not much aware, let me ask you is the debug tool equalent to the package or i have to get it from somewhere else.

Expecting your reply

something to consider. k3b needs a lot of libraries from kde. you're installing it on a RH system which has always been more of a gnome system. imho, it will be less work to install something less dependant on kde/QT.

Thank you for your reply.

The requirement site leads me to a site called "http://www.trolltech.com/" where i have to buy the package.

I thought that K3B is a package free. Can i get the dependancies free of cost
