cd player

I've got another crazy idea.
I just bought a Compaq Armada 7730mt laptop at a yard sale for $25.I want to use it for a cd player.I want to dual boot Debian with DSL.(I just discovered Damn Small Linux)I am using a base install of Debian Woody because I have no network and I have a set of Woody cds. Here is the problem.I want to autoplay audio and mp3 cds when they are inserted .Autofs is not mounting my cdrom ,and I need it to automatically run the correct program . Does anyone know a preconfigured distro that will run on a pII 166mhz on 100mb disk space ?If not what packages should I look at? Can I set up DSL to do this? Can I use my Woody cds for DSL apt sources ?I'm kind of thinking out loud .Any Ideas? Thanks.

I found 1fcd and 1fcdbsd (1 floppy cd player distro ),but I haven't tried them cause I have no network ,no floppy and my cd drive don't read cdrw.Besides,I would rather have something easily customized like Debian.Maybe I'll wait and get an ethernet card.I tried using lilo on DSL to dual boot the same kernel with different boot options ,but no luck so far ,it still takes too long to boot.Am I talking to myself?

For anyone interested I solved my problem ,but I used a non linux option.
FreeDOS
It's small ,loads fast ,doesn't have to mount or unmount and can be turned off without shutdown.
I even got some of my old DOS games to play on it.
I'm still tweaking ,but I think it will work.
