Post Cd Player

I get sound through gaim. I'm running Red Hat 9. When i put in my cd it opens up a cd player automatically but i don't hear the music. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you might check the volume sliders on your mixer..........
alsamixer or kmix or aumix

hi ,
did u try using sndconfig configuration tool.
if u had a try using that too. try connecting the analog wire.

hi,
just type sndconfig as a root . if its not installed u have to install it from the cd install sndconfig.rpms and use sndconfig.
