CD / DVD Writer software ?


I am looking for a CD / DVD writer software for my linux system.

Can somebody suggest me any ?

There is k3b in KDE, brazero (I think) in gnome, and xcdroast if you are using a Window Manager instead of a Desktop Environment. Or cdrecord, if you wanna go hardcore

I really think its worth reading the 'mkisofs' and 'cdrecord' manpages and burning from the commandline. It may take a day or two to read through (and take notes on - depending on what you intend burning), but it cuts out the need for a burning program.
(although OP may not have the time or inclination).

I totally agree, I use cdrecord almost exclusively. However, not everyone feels comfortable with the CLI.

Xcdroast seems to haven't got any changes for almost 1 1/2 years. I can add xfburn to the list.
