Capturing Camcorder Footage

I have a video editor, but I still need a program to capture the video from my camcorder. Does anyone know a good application for this? I have found several, although I am not sure if any of them meet my needs. All I need is something that can import the tape footage (coming from a Firewire-DV cable) to an MPEG or AVI format. Thanks for all replies in advance.

That doesn't seem to help; it's for TV cards.
