Cant to remote connect using PC-Duo in Suse Linux

Ive started to use PC-Duo to remote connect to other Windows based PC's in my house. I found a trial version for Linux which I installed on one of the computers using Suse 10.1. For some reason the program wont start in Suse so I am unable to connect to it from my Windows based computer. Ive looked on the companies website and to start the program manually I must type './pcdclient start' in the terminal but it says 'failed'. Does anyone know what could be wrong or recommend another remote connection software I could use between Windows and Suse? thanks.
