I have Redhat 9 Installed with Samba and for some reason I cant see the configuration tool. is there any way that i can search for the file or do it through the terminal. i have attempted to seach /etc/smb.conf in the find files section but found nothing. I have also tried going into the terminal but i am not sure how to use this tool. can somebody please provide a detailed, step-by-step account of how to configure samba throughthe terminal if this is the only option. i have been doing this for days now and i any help would be EXTREMELY appreciated

well dunno if you have apache or a webbrowser installed, else you could try to configure your samba using swat.. or webmin depending what you have installed...
swat is listening no port 901 and webmin is listening on port 10000... it's possible that swat is turned off.. you can enable this by editing the /etc/init.conf (if i'm not mistaking) and there uncomment the swat thingy... then connect with your browers to http://localhost:901 and login with your root username and password...
