Cant really get winex to work

I installed WineX.. downloaded it from transgaming. Anyways, It's all installed and stuff, but I dont know how to set it up to work. When I type winex in the terminal it says that it's an unknown command. How do I go about using it? I also installed wine and it doesnt seem to work. I've tried running things in it and they dont do anything.

I'm a total noob so very detailed explanations of things would be appreciated. Thanks.

how did you install these files, rpm or tarball?
and how did you go about installing these files?
when you got winex, was it CVS version?
if so, did you type winex or wine at prompt?

I recommend buying winex from transgaming, rather than downloading the cvs and building it yourself. Most people run into problems with this.

"winex3" is the script installed in /usr/bin to run winex, assuming you downloaded the most recent version. Use "winex3 /mnt/cdrom/setup.exe" (or whatever executable) to launch programs with winex.
