It's not likely since the Virtual Machine doesn't have direct access to your video card. Instead it emulates one which ain't exactly state of the art.

BTW If you're going to bump a thread, you should wait at least 24 hours.

Enjoy!

You might take a look at Wine and/or Winex.

Enjoy!

yes you can play games on core 2...however you will have a hard time doing it through vmware...except maybe basic games...maybe frozen-bubble will work..but thats about as advance as it will get.

if you have a nvidia graphics card it should be pretty easy to get games running...however if you are trying to dual-boot with windows...you may not wanna use core 2 (read something on slashdot about it not liking windows very much) I sopped using RH once they introduced Feudora. A lot of people like Slak...(I haven't used before) you may want to try Suse 9.1 (don't need to download .iso...just install from ftp)

VMware has no hw acceleration. Games that require it aren't an option. Either WINE/WINEX or native Linux games will work..

Depends what games you wish to play .. It's also depends on what system your running this on, as noted above Vmware is a virual machine, it emulates a whole computer system, so if you have a system that barely meets the requarements for this game you wish to play, I will most like not run under VMware, Wine and WineX are the best choice when it comes to playing games.. yet all games are not playible.. My friend got me HALO and it won't run unterlinux yet...

So it depends what what you wish to play and if its supported unter Wine or WineX.
Peronally I will only use Wine and WineX if there is not a linux port of the game.. sense ports will always run faster then the "free impemetaion of the Win32 system" there your best bet.
