It is defiantly my monitor. I hooked my old one and everything went fine.
I think the problem is the boot up screen forces a resolution my monitor can't handle. My mouse still doesn't work though. When I installed Slack in Vmware, I used the Intellimouse driver from the start and it worked. The reason I choose the PS/2 one this time is because the scroller didn't work. Maybe that wasn't a good idea, but I should be able to change it back. |
I did what you said to get my mouse working and it worked!
Now I can't get online. I must not of configured my network right. |
Getting online. Issue "netconfig" as root. That's the same app Slackware used on the install. Then you just need too know things. This is also in Slackware Linux Basics: For Slackware Linux 10.2 so I won't bother typing it out for you. Just go through the steps there -- Daniël even put screenshots -- and write down what you need. Then when you do it in Slack, you'll be ready.
Your monitor is easily overcome, but right now I'm drawing a blank and otherwise occupied. Search LQ and the answer is here. |
Thanks for taking the time to help me out:)
