cant install xmms on mdk9.2
 

hey guys,
im completely new with mandrake..i hope you guys can help me and bare with me.
ive been trying to install xmms 1.2.8 on mandrake 9.2 and i havent got a clue as to where to start.
if you guys could spare me some time and write down some step by step instructions on how to install it and some links to sites where i can find the necessary files, id be most grateful.

What have you downloaded? Have you tried updating/installing from the Mandrake Control Center?

You didn't install the developmental packages? As root, command:
urpmi gcc
An Introduction to the Midnight Commander. You can install it by commanding:
urpmi mc
