Cant get java-vm to work with mozilla (followed instructions fully and installed ok)

hi, I cant seem to get java to work with mozilla, ive followed the instructions at http://fedora.artoo.net/faq/
( downloaded and installed j2re1.4.2_02 and set the proper variables and installed the browser plugin ( ln -sf /usr/java/j2re1.4.2_02/plugin/i386/ns610-gcc32/libjavaplugin_oji.so /usr/lib/mozilla-1.2.1/plugins and I have rebooted ) and java still does not work i still get "this page contains information of a type (application/x-java-vm) that can only be viewed with the appropiate Plug-in." im not too fimilar with MIME typs do i need to 'create a MIME type (application/x-java-vm) and link it to my java bin or something? but yes following the instructions on installing java fully without error and it should work but it does not, if anyone can help that would be great thanks.

you linked to the wrong plugin. for moz 1.2.1, the plugin you need link to is not in ns610-gcc32, but in ns610.
