can't extract file in a tar packet with timestamp error


Hi, all

I met a problem when extracting a tar packet.

I met several error messages looks like this.

tar: public/Incoming/log: time stamp 2010-07-18 17:50:38 is 32592799 s in the future


Except change the date of the current machine, any other method?

Try extracting with the -m option. Like this:

tar xmf <tarballname>.tar
