can't copy text from firefox to vi file
I notice highlighting text in a Firefox window will not copy to a vi file which is set to "input" and using the middle button. On the 10.2 the Firefox there permitted this. I have spent nearly 3 days grinding out the font problem (partial success) in Firefox. Is there a preference to set in pref.js or ussChrome.css that someone knows of that allows copying from Or is there another explanation?

It could be the terminal or vim misbehaving.

What happens if you do ':set mouse=r' in vim?

I use a three step process that always works for me.

1) Highlight, then control-c (or Edit - Copy from the menu) to copy to the clipboard.

2) Click on klipper (the clipboard tool in Kde) and click on the item I just copied to select it.

2) Open the file in vim, switch to 'input' mode, put the cursor at the place I want to paste, and control-v (or Edit - Paste) to paste the copied material into the document.
