Question cannot start apache2

I just installed SLES 11.0 and I cannot start apache2. I get 'cannot adjust apache2 service'. I checked the syntax of httpd.conf to the best of my ability, but I see no problems there. I read some posts and tried creating /srv/www/htdocs/html and chmod/chgrp, but that did not work either. Here is the entry from the Yast log:

2009-04-27 15:40:25 <1> Colbert(10472) [YCP] Service.ycp:440 Restarting service apache2
2009-04-27 15:40:25 <1> Colbert(10472) [YCP] Service.ycp:287 Running service initscript apache2 restart
2009-04-27 15:40:26 <3> Colbert(10472) [bash] ShellCommand.cc(shellcommand):78 Syntax OK
2009-04-27 15:40:28 <3> Colbert(10472) [bash] ShellCommand.cc(shellcommand):78 ..failed
2009-04-27 15:40:28 <3> Colbert(10472) [YCP] Service.ycp:292 Error while running initscript /etc/init.d/apache2 restart :
$["exit":7, "stderr":"Syntax OK\n..failed\n", "stdout":"Starting httpd2 (prefork) "]
2009-04-27 15:40:28 <3> Colbert(10472) [YCP] Report.ycp:472 Cannot adjust 'apache2' service.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I blew it away and am starting over. Thanks for the help folks. If I run into the issue again I will try the apachectl command.
