cannot ssh forward with the usual settings
Hi,
i cannot ssh forward, although i have the usual settings -except the fact that the server is running on Linux-Vserver guest on Sarge.
Here's what i get when i try to run firestarter or nedit for ex:
Code:
ipcop:~# firestarter
X11 connection rejected because of wrong authentication.
The application 'firestarter' lost its connection to the display localhost:10.0;
most likely the X server was shut down or you killed/destroyed
the application.
ipcop:~# nedit
X11 connection rejected because of wrong authentication.
X connection to localhost:10.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown).
I issued this command for the Vserver host to route "ipcop":
Code:
ip addr add 10.0.0.6/24 broadcast + dev eth0
where 10.0.0.6 is the addr of "ipcop"
Here's the /etc/ssh/sshd_config of the "ipcop" server:
Code:
# Package generated configuration file
# See the sshd(8) manpage for details
# What ports, IPs and protocols we listen for
Port 22
# Use these options to restrict which interfaces/protocols sshd will bind to
#ListenAddress ::
#ListenAddress 0.0.0.0

Here's the /etc/ssh/ssh_config of the client:
Code:
# $OpenBSD: ssh_config,v 1.21 2005/12/06 22:38:27 reyk Exp $
# This is the ssh client system-wide configuration file. See
# ssh_config(5) for more information. This file provides defaults for
# users, and the values can be changed in per-user configuration files
# or on the command line.
# Configuration data is parsed as follows:
# 1. command line options
# 2. user-specific file
# 3. system-wide file
# Any configuration value is only changed the first time it is set.
# Thus, host-specific definitions should be at the beginning of the
# configuration file, and defaults at the end.
# Site-wide defaults for some commonly used options. For a comprehensive
# list of available options, their meanings and defaults, please see the
# ssh_config(5) man page.
