Cannot print using Firefox 3.0.6 in Linux

Dear friends

We have big production environment here with over 1200 linux users. Recently we had a firefox upgrade from 2.0.11 to 3.0.6 and since then we cannot have the printer list to select from when the print option is selected from Firefox.

I can print it to a file and then print it by opening the PDF application, however cannot do it directly from FireFox. We use LPR print server here.

We can print from all other applications except firefox. Can anybody help me in resolving this problem?

Please find the differences in two versions of firefox.

Hi!
Have you tried to re-add your printer to the system?
Maybe deleting Firefox cache will help.
By the way,I have seen lots of similar problems being reported for 3.0.6,it's a bug most likely.

Well, until the issue is solved, it seems that you can
print to file.

And thus get the page printed as a file.ps, which is
often a much more convenient format, much more usable
when printing to your printer.

Version 3.0.7 has been released so if there was a problem with 3.0.6 then upgrading to 3.0.7 may fix it. I never had any problems printing with FFx in either 3.0.6 or 3.0.7. From the thumbnails it looks like FFx doesn't see your printer. Are you using cups?
