cannot open /proc/bus/usb/devices, No such file or directory

Hallo,

I tried to get my scanner (epson 1200) running. So I made a "cat /proc/bus/usb/devices"
to get necessary device Informations. The problem is that the device does not exist, the whole directory (/proc/bus/usb) is empty. My usb sticks all work fine. So how could I solve this? Maybe somethings wrong in my kernel-config??

please have a look at it. Or are there other possible causes for that?

kernel-config

Thanks in advance - Thorsten

Hi,

usbfs was already mounted, this was not the problem. I found that the problem was caused by my self configured kernel. I dissabled module-support cause I did not need any modules. This was the problem, I do not know why, but it seems that you need it to get it working!
