Cannot "make" perl 5.6.1

hi ...

I am doing a project using twiki ... So the recommended perl version is 5.6.1

I tried to install it ... but the installation process got stuck in the "make" stage

make quits in the beginnig itself .. with an error
Code:
make: no target to build '<built-in>' needed by miniperl.o : error

how can i rectify this

these are the commands i followed to install

Code:
$ sh Configure -de
$ make
$ make install
guys ... any idea?

thnks

If you don't care hugely about compiling it by hand, can't you just grab a package of perl for whatever your system needs?
