I am using puTTY to connect to an Amazon EC2 instance as root running :

I was working on integrating this linux box with Windows AD using Kerberos/LDAP configuration.
During this process I downloaded the following rpms on a windows machine and transferred them to the linux box using WinSCP and installed them with the rpm utility:
1. pam_ldap-185-11.el6.x86_64
2. nscd-2.12-1.80.el6.x86_64
3. nss-pam-ldapd-0.7.5-14.el6_2.1.x86_64
post installation, a service nslcd was started.
Following this the connection remained active for about 10 mins and then the connection through WinSCP was lost and now my teammates are unable connect to it through putty.
How to resolve this without restarting the instance ? Is it possible that the above installations disabled ssh login?
Please help urgently!!
