cannot load local code page transcoder

when i tried to run matlab on debian, i got the message "cannot load local code page transcoder". I couldn't find the solution on the web, after solving this problem, i want to send the solution.

the problem is related with the local settings. you can look at your local setting with, $> locale . Because matlab 7.0.1 has some problems with local setting other than US. (at least for TR)

the solution is just writing : $> export LC_ALL=C
