Cannot get pkg-config to look in the right place!
 
Where does pkg-config store its path variable? I can't get gtk to install because of it, and therefore no xcdroast.

export PKG_CONFIG_PATH=/usr/lib/pkg-config

something like that. have a look around for .pc files
