Cannot get changed the app icon to take

I've changed the icon in the desktop files all of them I found for this app. Logout then log back in and the icon still does not change to the one I set it to be now.

I've tried it three different ways now and it still will not change in the app area on the tool bar. the pasystray does not behaive like an ordinary volume icon where all you have to do is set the arrow over top it and roll the mouse "button" and change the volume, with this pasystray you have to click it then select the app it uses then wait for it to open then go to where you need to be then slide the volume up or down.

too much!

So I figured I'd let it still load so I'd be here if actaully needed, then load the volumicon I was using and use that to control the volume. So change the icon for quicker location of which is which. But i no go so far. It will not change.

The desktop file for it. When I opened pcmanfm the navigated to where the desktop file is at, it shows the eyes icon associated with it because it is added to it, only it keeps showing the speaker in the system tray.

the actual icon for this app is also located in the very same directory.

Code:
[Desktop Entry]
Version=1.0
Name=PulseAudio System Tray
GenericName=
Comment=An Applet for PulseAudio
Exec=pasystray

#Icon=pasystray

Icon=/usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/apps/eyes.svgz
#Icon=eyes.svgz
#Icon=eyes

StartupNotify=true
Type=Application
Categories=AudioVideo;Audio;
Keywords=pulseaudio;tray;system tray;applet;volume

What is the file extension of the icon that works? The extension "svgz" is a compressed icon and not sure if that will work with what you are trying to do.

WoW I forgot about his post. I've since moved on to other things. But it is still relevant. I just finished reinstalling Slackware and am in the process of post install configurations. I'll have to get back to you or others on this one.

I'm just trying to get that icon to change to something else, and it is not doing what I am telling it to by means of the desktop file it uses to start itself. I too have tried other icon types. what ones I do not remember anymore.

the first or the last version can work, but never the one in the middle.
provided the file exists, maybe xfce doesn't like svgz graphics? tried an svg or png instead?

from what I remember I've tried every type of icon file along with the absolute path and with and without extension on the volume icon. every combination I could think of, and if memory serves me right I tried a different app that goes up in the application area and that took a different icon. I no longer have this desktop file due to a reinstall of Slackware.

this is fluxbox if I didn't mention that somewhere in this post.
