cannot delete any file of other users (samba question)

Hi all,

I cant figure out, how can i make a smb.conf to block the user to delete the file/folders of the other users. Like this example:

-The user John cannot delete any file in the folder of user Mary.

This is possible?

my smb.conf is:
Code:
[global]
        unix charset = iso8859-1
        display charset = cp850
        workgroup = MESSIAS
        netbios name = Users
        server string = Samba Server
        interfaces = eth0
        bind interfaces only = Yes
        log level = 7
        log file = /var/log/samba.%m
        max log size = 100
        time server = Yes
        socket options = TCP_NODELAY SO_RCVBUF=8192 SO_SNDBUF=8192
        invalid users = root, nobody, @adm, adm
        veto files = /*.mp3/*.wmv/*.wma/*.ogg/
        follow symlinks = No

[home]
#this is the home of users, like this -> /home/john
        comment = Linux
        path = /home
        invalid users = root, nobody, @adm
        read only = No
        public = no
        browseable=yes
        writable = yes
        inherit permissions = yes

Samba can't override the operating system permissions. So if John can't delete files in /home/mary when logged in at a console then he also can't delete files via samba.

There are exceptions - I think you could map John's samba account to a local account with rights to delete Mary's files, but your conf file won't do that. I'm also assuming that you use "security = user" since I don't use other settings.
