Can we see remaining time or % while copying big size files in RHEL?

I have a doubt, is there any switch will display remaining time or % while copying (big size files) in RedHat Linux?

Example

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

############################# 50 Minutes remaining) / 45% remaining

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

if yes then please share it with me. it would be very helpful for me.

thanks in Advance
Dany

You can use rsync with the --progress-option to achieve something like that.

i tried rsync but it's only showing the files (files) i wanted full image size or remining time. for example.

when i am copying a cd.
rsync is showing the current copying file but i wanted full copying time or remaining percentage.

or is there any options with rsync?
