can we run boot into a livecd using loadlin??


hi...
i got the ubuntu live cd the other day...

but in order to boot into it , i have to change the bios settings for default boot order ... i donot know the bios passwd. (its a public comp)

so can we boot into it using loadlin?

Some computers have an option to choose boot device during start up.

e.g. My Dell gives the options F2 - Edit Bios, F12 - Choose boot device.

Otherwise you could use a floppy to boot into the liveCD but then that depends if the BIOS has been set to boot in the order of Floppy,HD,CDROM. If its set to boot from HD first then theres not alot you can do.
