Oh wow! I got some replies. Thanx for your co-operation and willingness to help. I have tried on several occasions to download the stuff from SuSE's FTP servers but there are 2 problems:
1.) The FTP servers are reallyreally unreliable
2.) The download is 6 GB and I have no way to back it up on CDs. Besides, I would have to split the files, and I would have to copy all of them back on the hard drive every time I wish to install
I think the BEST solution is to have someone either upload them on some reliable FTP server as ISO images (so I can grab them using Download Accelrator).
I am willing to work out a trade with anyone who may be interested in exchanging the iso images for something else
Daddy Sneb is sending me the disks early next week. I should have them by the mid of the week after. I will then create the ISOs and put them on the server one by one until they are all up. it will take a while to download them but you will be able to get started after the first disk is up. I'll post here when the first disk is up.
if anyone has an ftp they could post i would love a copy of SUSE 8 Pro as well....im using the personal edition right now and would like to see what pro is all about....please email me at nyc0n2k@yahoo.com if you could with any info...thanks
i can and will host them on my server (300+ gigs) i just need someone to get me the cds or upload them....or tell me a place where i can download them.....
ok fatgod, check that inbox...you now have a login to my ftp and instructions for uploading....let me know if you have any problems....when everything is finished uploading, anyone who is interested email me at nyc0n2k@yahoo.com, ill keep ya posted...
righto, I'm uploading the files now, this will take a few days, but should be OK.
After that's done I'll post here again then anyone who wants can mail me and I'll give the details to get you downloading!
I should say now that I've only tested the 5th disk! as I am out of CD's at the moment, I've got some more on order but I'm quite sure that all the images are OK.
Think about it, is it legal to copy a RedHat Profeional Server CD? Probably not, because it contains proprietary closed-source oftware developed by RedHat (that's why the Professional Server si so expensive).
