can only run text mode x driver wont work in redhat 7.0
 

having installed linux 7.0 on my pc even during installation the gui version wont initiate i am new to linux, i have amd athlon 2ghz 256mb ddr asus nividia geforce 64mb. do i need an update if so how do i enter the update as i can only use the shell command (like dos) thanks !

You need a later version of XFree that supports your card. With Redhat you can either go ahead and install using the text installer:

boot: text

And once installed download and update X with the appropiate drivers for you video card or I can just recommend getting a later version of Redhat if that is what you prefer, maybe 7.3 or later as 7.0 is outdated and not a very stable release of Redhat.

You should also get the linux nvidia drivers from there website. Instructions to install them can be found here are many many other places.
