can lilo see linux on second drive?

Have linux on two drives. Lilo boots first drive but not linux on second drive. Have lilo in /boot partition on each drive-sda5 & hda5. Should lilo use only /boot on first drive? In /etc/lilo.conf should boot= line have just the first drive boot partition as boot=/dev/sda5--or should it have both--as /dev/sda5 & /dev/hda5? In image section should it have two images- one with root=/dev/sda6 for first drive and one with root=/dev/hda6 for second drive? Should /boot partition on each drive be set up identically or do I even need the second drive /boot partition? Have tried this with many different variations--all with no luck. Help please!

You can start kernel from different partitions, but boot= line should always show where lilo is installed. You can add extra kernels to choose, but it's not in boot= line.

boot section should have 1 hdd listed that has lilo installed. I think
it may be the one with the active partition.
The image section should have one entry pointing to the kernel for each drive.
You may need some extra parameters for the scsi drive. You would probably want to read the man pages for lilo.
