Question can i open a SWF file in linux


hi,

Please help me !

Can i install the macromedia flash MX in linux OS and what are the other Graphic software can i use in linux OS.

Please help me! as i am new to linux OS.

Only way I could fathom doing that is if you download WINE (http://winehq.com) and compile it. Then you'd have to setup all the dll's and the mock windows system folder and see if you could get it to run. I'm sure someone's done it...

Smile Use Firefox

U myt be using any of the web browsers. Most probaly FireFox. Install Adobe Flash plugin to it and open swf file with that.

Hi, you can choose to install wine into your machine and use wine to install the flash software as suggest by rufius.

You can download wine either from the website he recommends or download from your distro software builds.

I personally have install flash on linux and it works fine. You can find some help tips and steps on how to install flash with wine from these links:

As for other graphics SW, there are many native Linux packages. Are you looking for photo editing, vector graphics, page layout, or ???
