Can I install GTK-1.x.x although GTK-2.x.x has already been install in Fedora3 ?
I have to compile a application which needs gtk and gtk-config. I guess it needs gtk-1.x.x but not gtk-2.x.x.
How should I do ? remove gtk-2.x.x , then install gtk-1.x.x ? But, I don't want to do it. Is it possible to install both gtk-1.x.x and gtk-2.x.x in Fedora3 simultaneously ? Appreciate for any help Vincent |
GTK 1.x and GTK 2.x are different, so they can coexist on a system.

Hi Reddazz,
Thanks for quickly response. I still got a little confused. Q: Is it possible that application will use part of gtk-1.x.x APIs and use part of gtk-2.x.x APIs if I install both versions of GTKs ? Thanks ! |
Like I said above, they are different. An application either uses just gtk1 or just gtk2. :)

Thank you ! I will try it these two days.
