can I customize a linux mint iso so that it includes more software and themes?
I often help my friends switch to linux (specifically, linux mint), and as soon as I install it I always download a bunch of software and themes and whatnot. I was wondering if there is a way to edit the iso so that it just includes what I want by default, so I can just install it and be done?

If you are looking for a way to change the ISO, use isomaster. It is available from the app manager. search for it.
I would also suggest PCQLinux 2009, which has an entire routine to create bootable ISO on an existing installation. There is also one to make a live USB of the same. Convenient! |

Install it/or run it off the live CD, make alterations to the installed system , create live CD/DVD of altered system and you are set. There is also one to make a live USB of the same. Convenient! |
