Can anyone import latex formulas into open office?


I've always wrote my papers in latex, but recently I faced a very unpleasant thing: guys I'm writing for accept only M$Word-opening papers.

I actually hate this OO's point-and-click formula editing style, and I wouldn't like to learn it's formula language. Besides, when I'm saving in "doc" format, some formula parts get corrupted or lost. Maybe, it's because of not so up-to-date version (I use OO 1.0.3), but I don't think this is the case.

So, is there any possibility to convert latex formulas in OO's math language?

You may have to convert the latex formulas into a format that Open Office can import as an equation.

Here is a latex2mml conversion program. They say that the latest version understands latex2e macro's mentioned in lamports 'Latex2e Macros' 2nd Ed. Perhaps you could find something better on the ctan site.

Perhaps a Latex -> xml -> ooffice plugin would be able to accurately convert an entire document.
