Can't open audacious on Ubuntu 7.04 - what is a transport plugin?

Hi

Mostly - are the errors below simply bug report material or is there anything I can do? I've no idea what a "transport plugin" is. Anybody know?

I'm using (K)Ubuntu Feisty 7.04 amd64, and I've just compiled and installed the latest version of audacious (1.4.5) from source without problems. (BTW, I'm using the versions of GTK/libmcs etc. from binaries, which were compiled on release of 7.04 a year ago(?), if this is relevant). However, it all seemed fine but when I try to run it, a window appears with the following error:

Quote:
"Check that skin at '/usr/share/audacious/Skins/Classic' is usable and default skin is properly installed at '/usr/local/share/audacious/Skins/Default'"

I checked them, couldn't see any problems. I then tried running audacious in terminal with the -N flag, and started getting something about "transport plugins":

Is there anything I can do to fix this or should I file a bug report?

Thanks

Check your file permissions in /usr/local/share/audacious/Skins/Default & /usr/local/share/audacious/Skins/Classic, make sure the files are readable/executable.

Hi found the problem

I'd forgotten to install audacious-plugins as well - I thought it was optional.

cheers
